Katy Jordan scored on its opening possession and broke the game open with three third-quarter touchdowns Thursday night, defeating Katy Taylor 45–6.

Jordan Hightower capped an eight-play opening drive with an 11-yard touchdown run. Taylor answered with a 21-yard field goal from Felipe Meligrana, but John Okonji’s 2-yard scoring run put Jordan ahead 14–3 early in the second quarter. Jonah Frances added a 25-yard field goal with six seconds left before halftime, sending Jordan into the break up 17–3.

Jordan extended its lead after halftime when quarterback Thomas Eugate scored on a 2-yard run. Meligrana’s second field goal, from 33 yards, made it 24–6, but Jordan answered quickly. Hightower scored from 15 yards out, and Eugate added a 1-yard touchdown run later in the third quarter. Samuel Spichiger connected with Landon Williams for a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth to complete the scoring.

Jordan finished with 311 yards of offense, including 221 through the air. Eugate completed 11 of 17 passes for 175 yards, while Spichiger went 3 for 3 for 46 yards. Williams led the receivers with four catches for 93 yards; Rush Williams added five for 62, and Mo Poko caught four for 39. Okonji and Hightower each rushed for 39 yards, with Hightower scoring twice.

Taylor totaled 147 yards. Sebastian Ramirez rushed 18 times for 67 yards, and Logan Broome completed 8 of 16 passes. Josiah Hooks had four catches for 53 yards, while Will Dyson caught three for 37. Meligrana accounted for Taylor’s points with two field goals.
