The fact that we have nearly 40% of the state off coupled with weather wreaking havoc on GHA and South Texas means there aren’t a lost of game results to talk about but we have a lot to discuss regardless!

12-2. Cinco was an upset and New Caney was a tossup.

Weather Wreaks Havoc on Week 6

Well we picked a good week for everyone to have the week off. Weather blew threw South Texas and Houston causing many games to be postponed, 2 games to finish after midnight, and even one game to be postponed to the 30th! all the changes are here…….

Weather Changes Week 6

Katy Taylor 36, Katy Cinco Ranch 13

This was a shocker. Maybe it was the Weather, maybe there was an injury we don’t know about, maybe it was because it was Taylors homecoming…… regardless Cinco has now lost its room for error. they need to win out to avoid a 2 way tie with Taylor, or a 3 way tie because they now have a max point differential loss. Taylor is in control of its own destiny. It also now brings Katy going D1 potentially into play as both Jordan and Cinco have to make the playoffs for Katy to go to the division 2 bracket.

El Paso Pebble Hills 35, EP Eastwood 31

Game of the night took place in the Sun City, Pebble Hills now in the drivers seat in 1-6A.

Lufkin 7 New Caney 0, Idalou 7 Vernon 0

Two very defensive games. This was a HUGE win for Lufkin’s playoff hopes after their blowout loss last week. As for Idalou, the new #1 in 3AD2 survives a scare.

Austin Westlake 38, Round Rock 17

This game also had weather issues but only an hour or so delay. Westlake handily beats a red hot Dragons squad.

Amarillo Palo Duro 35, Abilene Cooper 7

This was the biggest game tonight. Palo Duro had a dominate performance.

Conroe/Oak Ridge, Klein Cain/Klein Collins, and Cy Fair Cy Woods were all postponed due to weather
