We are so back.

How did I do with my GHA picks last night?

Houston Scarbrough Warren Scarborough 1
Danbury Garrison Garrison 1
CC John Paul II Riviera-Kaufer John Paul II 1
Lake Jackson Brazosport Red Oak Ovilla Lake Jackson 1

16-8. Not great. Warren was my bad. I know nothing about John Paul. Sharpstown, Northbrook and  Bellaire were tossups. Nederland and Cain were upsets. Oak Ridge/ Taylor was over at half. Can’t really call that an upset.

Cy Lakes 19, Katy Freeman 8

I was at this game. You can see pictures here.

This was definitely a week 1 game with some sloppy gameplay but both teams were much improved in the second half. I have Freeman 5th in their district for now.

Southlake Carroll 35, Jenks(OK) 34

The Dragons were down 27-0(!) but came storming back to win. I am a little concerned about them honestly but we can’t overreact to 1 data point.

War on Weather Begins

A few games in GHA were impacted by Weather. Klein Oak vs Grand Oaks was PPD to Saturday while the Katy Taylor/Oak Ridge game was called at Halftime. Taylor won 21-14.

Cy Ranch 24, FB Hightower 7

A very impressive performance from the Mustangs.

Longview Pine Tree 52, Gilmer 40

Pine Tree made it to Thanksgiving a year ago and it looks like they will be a dark horse in 4AD1.

Whitehouse 37, Tyler Chapel Hill 14

A great performance for Whitehouse but now I’m worried about Tyler Chapel Hill.

The Other 3 for Thursday results

Shamrock 15, Winters 8
College Park 38, Iowa Colony 10 (a little worried about the Pioneers now)
Mount Pleasant 38, Sulphur Springs 14 (a very nice performance from Springs)
