This will be the first meeting between the two schools.

The Breakdown

Fulshear has opened its second season under head coach Stephen Hill with victories over Dekaney, 28–15, and Bush, 56–0. The Chargers have outscored their opponents 84–15 and enter Saturday following their first shutout since October 2025.

The Chargers returned six offensive and seven defensive starters from last year’s 7–4 playoff team. Their offense features two dangerous receivers in Ryland Forks and Tre Clewis. Forks produced 944 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns last season, while Clewis added 884 yards and 14 scores.

Running back Jayelen Collins gives the Chargers balance on the ground. He rushed for 502 yards last season and has emerged as a larger part of the offense this fall. The line is anchored by 6-foot-5, 320-pound Righteous Stewart.

Defensively, safety Liam Clay, cornerback Jax Drain and edge rushers Tife Taiwo and Dieko Ojajuni give Fulshear experience at every level. That unit followed a solid performance against Dekaney by completely shutting down Bush.

Jersey Village is still searching for its first victory after losing 22–3 to Klein and 28–21 to Nimitz. The Falcons showed significant offensive improvement in the second game, producing 376 total yards—196 rushing and 180 passing—but could not complete the comeback.

Quarterback Rodney Robinson Jr. directs the Jersey Village offense, with Isaiah Gilcrease providing a threat on the ground and Champion Ellis Jr. contributing in the passing game. Running back Angel Ortega also figures into the Falcons’ plans.

Up front, 6-foot-4, 295-pound Calvin Thigpen is a Division I prospect capable of playing multiple positions. His performance will be especially important against Fulshear’s experienced defensive front.

Jersey Village Head Coach Levelle Norris:

“I’m looking forward to playing our Week 3 opponent, Fulshear. They are entering the week 2-0, and Coach Hill continues to do a great job with his program. We know we will have a quality opponent in front of us this week.

For us, this week is about fixing us.
We were up by two touchdowns last week against a quality opponent, but we also had opportunities where we didn’t execute the way we are capable of. Offensively, we need to do a better job of coming out of halftime ready to play and continuing the momentum we built in the first half.
We also had too many miscues on Special Teams. Those mistakes can cost you football games, and we have to clean them up if we expect to win at a high level.
This is exactly what the non-district schedule is for: fix what you’re bad at and get better at the things you’re good at. Every week gives us an opportunity to learn, improve, and continue developing into the team we want to be.
I want to win every football game we play—that will never change. But I also love the progression I’m seeing in this team. We are continuing to grow, learn, and get better.
Now it’s time to get everything rolling as we prepare for our district opener against Cy Woods. Let’s keep improving, keep pushing, and keep building.”
