PROJECTIONS/ PICKS FOR THIS GAME

Dave Campbell’s Computer (otherwise known as Jerry Forest of pigskinprep.com) favors Fulshear by 1.

Massey Ratings (masseyratings.com) favors Fulshear by 8.

I have my own projector that I break out from time-to-time. The projector looks at each team’s performance versus their average performance. This projector favors Fulshear by 11.

Both Antony and I are picking Cinco Ranch in this game. Make no mistake, this is a homer pick! Antony graduated from Cinco Ranch 15 years ago and he’s a strong Cougar supporter.

In reality I like how testing Cinco Ranch and genuinely think this is a toss up game.

WHAT I EXPECT TO SEE

Fulshear likes to the throw the ball… a lot. The key matchup to me in this game is the Patel vs the Cinco Ranch secondary especially Jacob Forinash.

If Fulshear can consistently complete their down field passes, then advantage Fulshear.

Cinco Ranch hasn’t shined in pressuring the passer and they will need to do that in this game to stay competitive.

Cinco Ranch will rely on an Ballance offense and try to hit a few big plays. That is their MO all season long.

I expect this to come down to a tight game in the 4th quarter. Cinco Ranch has played at least half their schedule tight into the 4th quarter and are no strangers to late game pressure.

Fulshear has had only 1 game settled by less than one score – their 4 point loss to Strake Jesuit.

If this game is close, I favor Cinco Ranch. If this game is more than 2 scores, then it should be Fulshear advantage.
