WHITEHOUSE\u2014 Josh Green passed for 210 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for another as Whitehouse pulled away for a 47-30, non-district win at Wildcat Stadium.
Whitehouse struck first when Josh Green found Jermod McCoy in the corner of the end zone on an 8-yard TD pass to give the Wildcats an early, 7-0 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Forney tied things up on their next possession when quarterback Michael Phillips tossed a short pass to Damorrea Jones on a slip screen, and Jones outraced everyone down the middle for a 44-yard touchdown to tie the game, 7-7, midway through first quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whitehouse (1-0) began to pull away from North Forney as they reeled off 17 straight points to take a 23-7 lead on a Safety, and a pair of touchdown runs from Green and Iven Lacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Forney (0-1) cut the deficit to 23-14 on a 13-yard scoring pass from Phillips to Ernest Thomas. But once again Whitehouse answered with a score of their own when Green dropped back and fired a 26-yard touchdown pass to McCoy, who made a sensational leaping catch to give the Wildcats a 30-14 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Forney trimmed the lead to 30-21 just before halftime as Phillips broke a couple of tackles at the line of scrimmage then turned on the jets for a 53-yard score down the sideline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Falcons quickly tied the game with Whitehouse early in the third quarter when backup quarterback Luke Kee tossed a 10-yard scoring strike to Emari Oydokun then North Forney blocked a punt which led to a field goal to knot it up, 30-30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It would be all Whitehouse after that as the Wildcats scored 17 unanswered points, including a pair of rushing touchdowns from Mikevic Hall to cement a 47-30, season-opening win over North Forney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
