Mayde Creek is a really good football team and program, Coach Aro is doing a great job over there building a program and it’s evident in the way they play! They’re fast and physical on both side of the ball, this game will be a good measurement of where we are as a team right now. We will have to play a fast, physical, and disciplined brand of football on Friday night. We need to control the run game on either side, tackle well on defense, and be sound / prepared on Special teams. Our kids have worked extremely hard, and a long time, for this moment, it’ll be a joy to watch them put it all together and compete with each other this week.”

MOVING FORWARD Mayde Creek is in 22-6A along with Katy, Jordan, Tompkins, Cinco Ranch, Paetow, Seven Lakes, Morton Ranch and Taylor.
Arogbonlo on the game: “We’re excited about Friday and looking forward to competing against a very good Elkins football team. They have a lot of athleticism and playmakers on both sides of the ball, so for us it will come down to being disciplined, physical, and executing our assignments for four quarters. We have to take care of the football, win the line of scrimmage, and make the plays that are in front of us. Our kids have worked extremely hard, and we’re looking forward to seeing them compete.”
