Quick Cap and Video Clips: Anderson-Shiro vs Warren

On Friday, 10/14 the Warren Warriors hosted the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls in a district 12-3AD2 matchup.

There was a fumble on the open kickoff which set up this Anderson-Shiro touchdown.

In the 2nd quarter, Anderson-Shiro recovered this fumble…

leading to this touchdown…

and the Fighting Owls led 14-0 with 2:56 remaining until the half.

Following a Warren punt returned to the Anderson-Shiro 49-yard line, Anderson Shiro scored this touchdown.

The initial attempt at a PAT was no good but an offsides penalty on Warren led to a successful 2-point conversion from the Fighting Owls.

Anderson-Shiro led 22-0 at the half.

Anderson-Shiro extended their lead mid-way through the 3rd quarter on this run…

and the Fighting Owls led 29-0.

Warren got on the board (sorry no video clip) with 4:36 left in the game. And the final score was Anderson-Shiro 29, Warren 8.

Anderson-Shiro is now 5-3 on the season and 2-2 in district play. The Fighting Owls are open in Week 9 and conclude the regular season with games against Hemphill and Trinity.

Warren is now 2-5 on the season and 0-3 in district play. The Warriors play Hemphill in Week 9 and conclude the regular season with games against Trinity and Kountze.
