On a soggy evening following a 94-minute delay to the start of the game due to lightning in the area of Cy Fair Federal Credit Unit Stadium the #19 Cy Ranch Mustangs defeated the #10 Paetow Panthers 22-7.
The Mustangs wasted no time getting on the board two minutes into the game as Blake Baker completed a 9-yard pass to Kyle McCray. The PAT was missed and Cy Ranch led 6-0.
The Mustangs next cracked the scoreboard on a 63-yard pass from Baker to Carson Littlefield with 9:27 remaining in first half.
Cy Ranch one more time in the first half on an 8-yard run by Kyle McCray. The PAT once again failed and the Mustangs led 19-0 at the half.
The Panthers recorded their only score of the evening in the 3rd quarter on a 53-yard pass from Koby Truehill to Justin Stevenseon.
Steven Sinda wrapped up the scoring on the evening with a 29-yard field for Cy Ranch and the Mustangs secured a 22-7 victory.
Both teams are now 1-1 on the season.
Cy Ranch plays their final non-district game of the season on Friday at 7 p.m. against Cy Creek before an off week in Week 4 and opening district play against Cy Woods on Friday, 9/23.
Paetow beings district play on Friday at 7 p.m. against Morton Ranch.
