Player Profile: Braden Williams, Cinco Ranch

How do you feel you played individually last season?

Strengths: open field tackling and pass coverage. I’ve been working on block destruction because I want to increase how many tackles I have each game.

How is the off season going for you and what are the goals for this upcoming season?

I’ve been working out on my own and at SAC while playing 7on7. My goals are to lead the district in tackles, be selected as 1st team all state for defense, academic all state, be a captain and have our defense lead the district in tackles.

Do you feel you got better and how do you feel the team will play this season?

With the leadership of our captains last year, I feel I got a lot better. I feel our team will go further in the post season than we did last year.

What is the number one thing you are working on to improve your game?

I want to increase my Sideline to sideline speed.

A teammate you see putting in the work that you think will have an impact this season.

It’s hard to pick just one player when all of us are constantly working on getting better, getting stronger, and improving our chemistry so that we’re able to make the biggest impact we can.

Highlight of your athletic career so far

Our team going 3 rounds deep in the playoffs last year.

If not playing in the NFL, where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Coaching football at the college or high school level.
