Last nights playoff opening night was mostly chalk with a few good games and a couple of close calls.
Hitchcock 20, Little River Academy 7
I was at this game. You can see pictures here…………..

This game was all about turnovers. Academy had at least 5 and Hitchcock had 2 of them in the red zone. Hitchcock will play the winner of tonights Hardin vs Crockett game.
FB Ridge Point 21, Pearland Dawson 16
This result is a little concerning but Dawson’s defense also held Pearland to 17 points – this was a better team then most people think. Ridge Point will play the winner of North Shore vs Deer Park.
Allen 22, Lewisville 15
Allen also survives but i am more worried about them. Lake Highlands or SGP should be a better matchup for them.
Lubbock Cooper 45, EP Del Valle 42
This was the game of the night. The Pirates were able to prevail in a great offensive battle. they will play the winner of Walnut Grove and Arlington Seguin.
Carthage 63, Pittsburg 34
The Bulldogs struggled but were able to pull away in the 2nd half. They will play Sanger or Quinlan Ford next.
Richmond Randle 54, Killeen Ellison 20
Randle also struggled but got the ship righted. Landon Williams-Callis left the game with an injury but returned and scored a TD in the 3rd quarter.
