Amarillo forfeits district games

In breaking news issued literally while i was writing this recap, Amarillo will be forced to forfeit 6 games for use of an ineligible player. Amarillo will now have to have a lot of help to get in at 1-4 in district play. Per our friend @MattStepp_817 of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, they will have to win and hope Lubbock beats Coronado. if this happens………………………..WE WILL HAVE A COIN FLIP FOR THE LAST SPOT. I dont think it will happen but you never know.

Pflugerville Weiss 28, Austin Anderson 7

I was STUNNED by this result as it looked like Anderson was the chief challenger to La Porte and Angleton in Region 3, and still could be. This result was not big in the long run as Anderson had already clinched the 1 seed.

Arlington Bowie 24, South Grand Prairie 21

For the first time in program history, Bowie has back to back district titles.

Beaumont United 27, Baytown Sterling 17

This means despite beating Barbers Hill early in the season, Sterling is eliminated. The new 9-5A-1 standings……
