I’ll be live at this game Saturday afternoon so I thought I’d get myself up to speed before the game and share some of my research with you.
Why does this game matter?
Cy Ranch currently leads 16-6A at 3-0. They are one game ahead of four teams currently tied for second at 2-1. Waller and Bridgeland are two of those four teams. Another of those teams (Cy Lakes) player Cy Ranch later this same day. The winner of this game is right in the middle of the competition for playoffs spots. The loser isn’t out of it but will be at a disadvantage.

Projections For This Game
Dave Campbell’s Computer (otherwise known as Jerry Forest of pigskinprep.com) has Bridgeland as a 9 point favorite.
Massey Ratings (masseyratings.com) has Bridgeland as a 27 point favorite.
I have my own projector that I break out from time to time that looks at how teams score vs their opponents averages. My projector has Bridgeland as a 3 point favorite.
What I Expect to See
I see this as more of traditional game than we sometimes see. By that I mean the team the runs the ball the best and the team that stops the run the best will win this game. As with any game that is about slugging it out, turnovers and special teams are likely play a key role
I also expect to see a relatively high scoring game with the winner recording 35-42 points. I like Bridgeland in this one but keep an eye on the turnovers. If Waller can win the turnover battle and make a couple of special plays on special teams, they stand a chance to win this game.
