I’ll be live at this game Saturday night so I thought I’d get myself up to speed before the game and share some of my research with you.

Why does this game matter?

Cy Ranch currently leads 16-6A at 3-0. They are one game ahead of four teams currently tied for second at 2-1. One of those four teams is Cy Lakes. Two of the other teams tied at 2-1 (Waller and Bridgeland) play earlier in the day. Obviously this is a ciritical game for Cy Lakes. A win here throws the district into chaos but also puts Cy Lakes right in the middle of that chaos.

What I Expect to See

I just think that Cy Ranch defense and diversity on offense will be too much for the Spartans.

Cy Ranch really spreads the ball around when throwing the ball. 5 different receivers have 10 or more receptions and no one has more than 15. 8 different receivers have recorded a TD reception. 5 different rushers have recorded a rushing TD.

Compare that to Cy Lakes where 1 receiver (CJ Lewis) has 18 more receptions than the 2nd most.

I expect that diversity on offense to allow the Mustangs to score in the 40s in this game and move to 4-0 in district 16-6A play.
