With the win, Franklin advances to play the winner of Saturday’s Hitchcock/Teague game.
Alvarado 44, Frisco Panther Creek 41(2 OT)
This was the game of the night. They went back and forth. Panther Creek had a 2 score lead, Alvarado scores, GETS THE ONSIDE KICK and gets a Field Goal to send it to OT, both scored in the first OT, but the Indians got an INT and kicked the game winning FG to play on Thanksgiving Weekend for the first time since 2011. Crazy Stat of the night – Credit to @ashley_pickle12 on Twitter/x/whatever – Prior to tonight, The Indians had only attempted ONE FG ALL SEASON – and they kicked 3 tonight, including the game tying and winning scores. amazing.
La Vernia 13, Austin LBJ 10
This was a stunner as I had LBJ winning the Region , but now its Davenport’s to lose.
A&M Consolidated 10, Galveston Ball 3
With Jonah Williams out due to injury, I gotta give Ball Credit for making it a game, but Tigers got a TD with about 32 minutes left to seal it. Ball had 3 or 4 Red Zone Opportunities but were unable to convert.
Carthage 56, Krum 13
The Bulldogs and Scott Surratt have a big dynasty on their hands, and are looking to avenge their loss last year. speaking of which…………….
Sunnyvale 27, Gilmer 17
That’s 2 State Champs gone now. This isn’t too shocking though as Gilmer seemed to be down this year.
