Westside clinched a Playoff Berth last night after missing the Playoffs last year for the first time since 2010. The playoff Spots in 18-6a are set. The Wolves play Heights next week for D2 Seeding.
Spring 28, Aldine Nimitz 20
When Spring lost to Davis it looked like it was all over but wins against DeKaney and Nimitz in back to back weeks have given them life! The haven’t made the playoffs yet but they are very close. a Win over Aldine next week gives them a unlikely Playoff Berth. Nimitz vs Dekaney is likely for 4th place.
FB Ridge Point 35, FB Hightower 20
I didn’t know this game had a Rivalry game until Tuesday. the Panthers win the “Tollway Cup”, The 21-6A Title Game. It was expected since I’ve seen both teams play this year and Ridge Point passed the Eye test a lot better, granted Hightower played a better opponent( RP played Clements, HT played Austin). I’m still very excited at the likely Area Round game between Hightower and Summer Creek. Its a rematch of last Years Regional Final which was in instant classic – Summer Creek came back from down 2 scores with less than 5 minutes left.
College Station 44, Pflugerville Weiss 38
This game doesn’t tell the Story. Weiss was head 31-14 before CS rattled off 30 Straight, IMO these 2 and A&M Consolidated are your favorites in 5AD1 Region 3.
Galena Park 21, Houston Westbury 14
The Yellowjackets Clinched a Playoff Berth, with this, assuming Waltrip and Sterling also win and therefor clinch Playoff berths this week, if Milby Beats Spring Woods next week Milby clinches a playoff berth for the first time since 2000, if Spring Woods wins, its a 3 way tie.
SB Memorial 24, Jersey Village 14
With this the 17-6a spots are decided – Falls, Fair, Memorial and Stratford. Seeding is still TBD. Fair and Falls play for the 17-6a title and D1 seeding Saturday.
Perrin Whitt 48, Knox City 42
This creates a possible uber rare 3 way tie in 6 man. Only 2 teams make the playoffs in 6 Man. Credit goes to 6 Man Guru and reporting Legend @LemanSaunders on Twitter.
